Amber, rest in peace

I just returned from the Veterinary Emergency Clinic where my dear Amber of 14 years lost her battle with breast and pancreatic cancer. I can't believe how fast this was - 9 days from diagnosis. I'm already missing her terribly and my little cat is feeling the change. She's stopped eating. I consider this ominous but I shall just have to let her adjust to being an only child before concluding that something medical is going on.
Oh, to love and then to lose....

Oh dear Sharon. How dreadfully sad. I remember when our kitty died, it was very hard. We kept expecting him to be at our feet upon each turning. You have our very heartfelt condolences. Love you.

So sorry for you, it's so hard to lose a pet you've loved for so long. Your other kitty will need all your love now, I'm sure she will miss his companion.

I've been down this road too, Sharon, and I know how difficult it is -- I'm so, so sorry.
